Principal Investigator /// University of Aveiro

Augusta Ferreira holds a PhD in Accounting from the Universities of Aveiro and Minho, with a specialization in Public Accounting.
She is a professor at the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration at the University of Aveiro and has been teaching courses, as well as advising master and doctoral students in the accounting arena.
She has held several management positions, namely: pedagogical council, assembly of representatives, scientific council, executive committee, direction of master's course and scientific committee of doctorate.
She is an integrated member of the Accounting and Taxation Research Center of the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave and has developed research, among other areas, in public accounting, accounting information systems, disclosure of financial information, transparency and accountability in public institutions.
She has published several papers informin national and international journals as well as presented several communications in congresses.

Rui Pedro Marques holds a PhD in Computer Science from the universities of Minho, Aveiro and Porto, a Master's degree (pre-Bologna), from the University of Aveiro, in Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications, with specialization in Communication Networks and Information Systems, and a degree in the same area also by the University of Aveiro.

He is an Adjunct Professor at the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration at the University of Aveiro, in the scientific area of ​​Informatics.

He is a researcher at the Algoritmi Center, at the School of Engineering at the University of Minho, and at the CID - Research and Development Center, at ISCA-UA. His research interests are related to the design, development and application of Information Systems in an organizational context.

/// Alberto Costa

Researcher /// University of Aveiro

Alberto Costa holds a PhD in Accounting from the joint doctoral program between the University of Aveiro and the University of Minho, a master's degree in Business Sciences (with a specialization in Accounting) from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto and a degree in Accounting and Auditing from ISCA-UA.

He is an Adjunct Professor at ISCA-UA, where he teaches since 2004, Director of the Master in Accounting and Management Control and an effective member of the GOVCOPP (Research Unit in Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies, University of Aveiro), in the Decision Support Systems group.

Previously, he was a Professor at ISCAC and a Professor at Secondary Education. At ISCA-UA, he has taught course units within the scope of the Accounting Area, with relevance to the Financial Accounting, Management Accounting sub-area and, in particular, the Ethics and Deontology course.

He is a Professor/Advisor in the Doctoral Program in Accounting at the University of Aveiro (DEGEIT) and develops research in the area of Accounting and, particularly, in the area of Ethics and Deontology. He has published papers in national and international journals and advises Master's, PhD and Post-Doctoral students.

He is a member of GRUDIS - Portuguese Accounting Research Network, since 2006 and Certified Accountant since 1997.

/// Ana Maria Bandeira

Researcher /// Polytechnic Institute of Porto

Ana Maria Bandeira holds a PhD in Accounting and Financial Economics, a degree and a Master's degree in Accounting and Administration. Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (ISCAP.PP), since 1999, where she has taught several curricular units in the scientific area of Financial Accounting, as well as Evolution of Accounting Thinking, Ethics and Deontology and Research Methodologies.
She is Vice-President of ISCAP.IPP and director of the Degree in Accounting and Administration. She is a member of the Portuguese Chartered Accountants Association and of the General Council of the Accounting Standardization Commission representing the António Sérgio Cooperative.
She is a member of the Center for Organizational and Social Studies at the Polytechnic of Porto (CEOS.PP), of the Center for Population, Economics and Society Studies and of the Center for Studies in Business and Legal Sciences (CEPESE) at the University of Porto where she researches on Social Economy and Accounting History. She is part of the Editorial Board of the Accounting & Management journal of the Portuguese Chartered Accountants Association and is the editor of the magazine E3 - Revista de Economia, Empresas e Empreendedor at CPLP.
She has several papers published in indexed scientific journals, chapters in books and a book. She also has papers in periodical publications and presentations made at national and international congresses.

Carlos Santos holds a PhD in Informatics and Computers Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. He has been teaching various course units within the scope of the Scientific Area of Informatics.

In addition to teaching, he has held several Management Positions: Assembly of Representatives; Governing board; Board of Directors; Scientific Council; Pedagogical Council; School Council; coordinator of the Scientific Area of Informatics.

He is an integrated member of the Accounting and Taxation Research Center at IPCA and has developed research activities focusing on the Audit of Organizational Information Systems and the Disclosure of Financial Information using new information and communication technologies, having presented several papers in national and international congresses and published several scientific papers.

/// Denise Pereira Curi

Researcher /// University of Aveiro

Denise Curi, PhD in Production Engineering from the University of São Paulo, credited as a PhD in Industrial Management from the University of Aveiro. She has been teaching various course units within the scope of the Scientific Area of Sustainability and Social Responsibility and Business Strategies. She was a professor at Centro Paula Souza - Fatec Barueri, and Adjunct Professor at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, where she held the position of Coordinator of the Mackenzie Sustainability Agency (AMS).

In addition to teaching, he has held, for 25 years, various management positions in large companies, of which the following stand out: Rhodia SA, Sharp Indústria e Comércio, Banco Real, in the areas of: Controllership, Strategic Management and Sustainability. At Rhodia she worked on the introduction of PET recycling in Brazil, publicizing the best PET recycling practices in Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay, with government agencies, class associations and schools.

Leader of research projects in Brazil on sustainable innovations with support from CNPQ and Mackpesquisa. Organizer of the book Environmental Management by Editora Pearson and author of papers and book chapters published in Brazil and abroad, on the themes Sustainability, Social Entrepreneurship and Education for Sustainability.

Researcher /// Polytechnic Institute of Porto

Graduated, Master and Doctor in Law, with a thesis under the theme “The economic regime of cooperatives in Portugal. The social capital”.

Adjunct Professor of Commercial Law at the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. She focuses her research on the legal regime of cooperatives and the social economy, being the author of scientific communications, monographs, book chapters and papers on these topics.

She is Deputy Director of the Revista Cooperativismo e Economia Social at the University of Vigo.

Research member of CEOS.PP (Center for Organizational and Social Studies at the Polytechnic of Porto), under which she coordinates the line of research on social economy, of SGECOL - Study Group on European Cooperative Law and IBECOOP - Brazilian Institute of Studies in Cooperativism.

Associate member of ADSR - Association of Societies in Review, CIRIEC Portugal, Asociación Internacional de Derecho Cooperativo and Asociación Iberoamericana de Derecho Cooperativo, Mutual y de la Economía Social y Solidaria.

Winner (together with Maria Elisabete Ramos) of the António Sérgio 2015 Cooperation and Solidarity Award, in the Studies and Research category, for the study «Governance and economic regime of cooperatives. State of the Art and lines of reform »(2016).

On May 9, 2017, she received, in Brazil, the medal «Diva Benevides Pinho - Academic Merit of Cooperativism», in recognition of the research work he has been developing in the scope of Cooperative Law.

Graça Azevedo, holds a PhD in Management with a specialization in Accounting from the Higher Institute of Labor and Business Sciences - ISCTE. She is Professor at the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration at the University of Aveiro and teaches course units in the area of Financial Accounting.

She is the author of several books and papers published in national and international scientific journals. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Accounting and Finance Research and a member of the Scientific Board of the Academic Journal of Economic Studies.

Develops research in the area of Financial Information Disclosure, Impression Management and Accounting Standardization.

Helena Coelho Inácio holds a PhD in Accounting and Business Organization with a specialization in auditing from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2008).

She is professor at the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration at the University of Aveiro since 1988. She has always taught course units in the Accounting area, namely, in the last few years, in the area of auditing and in the three study cycles (undergraduate, master's and doctorate).

She has held several management positions, namely she is a member of the Scientific Council of the UA, of the School Council of ISCA-UA, was Director of the Degree in Accounting and Director of the Master of Accounting

She is an integrated member of the Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies (GOVCOPP) research center at the University of Aveiro and has developed audit research covering its links with other areas, namely corporate governance and information technology.

He published an Internal Control book of academic character, has several communications at congresses and publications in national and international journals predominantly in the area of auditing.

Mafalda Jesus, graduated in Sociology from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, is part of the CNIS Technical Department since 2015. Throughout her professional career, she has developed functions as a consultant, trainer and internal auditor (certified) of people management and management systems, with, in particular, more than 10 years of experience in the social and solidarity sector organizations (integrating, among others, projects developed by the Portuguese Episcopal Conference, Cáritas Portuguesa, CNIS and Universidade Católica).

She has coordinated, for 3 years, the northern delegation of the SGS Portugal Group's Training Department, taking on, inter alia, the coordination of several auditor certification courses (IRCA) and postgraduate courses developed in partnership with higher education institutions. At the SGS Portugal Group, she was also responsible for organizing and managing events and promoting, in the northern region, the social responsibility project of this multinational.

Maria Brízida Tomé has a degree in Business Administration from ISAG-International Business School and a Master in Finance and Accounting from ISCAP - Instituto Politécnico do Porto.

She worked for 38 years as Director of Purchasing and Internationalization in several multinational companies. She is a member of the governing bodies of a local IPSS, initially serving as a member of the Fiscal Council and currently as Treasurer.

Researcher in Social Economy, she was a collaborating member of CECEJ.PP - Center for the Study of Business and Legal Sciences for some years, prior to CEOS.PP - Center for Organizational and Social Studies at the Polytechnic of Porto. She has published several papers and book chapters, mainly focused on Social Economy and Corporate Social Responsibility, having participated in several thematic seminars and national and international conferences.

Maria Goreti Teixeira, graduated in SME management by Instituto Superior da Maia, with a bachelor's degree in business management and specialization in business efficiency and tax consultancy is, since 2009, advisor to the CNIS management team for the financial and tax areas, where she has already worked as treasurer and training coordinator. Trainer, certified accountant and tax and project consultant, she is the executive director of Fundação Filos, director of services at the Social Center of the Parish of Areosa and integrates the social bodies of several Private Social Solidarity Institutions.

With vast knowledge and experience in the organization and functioning of solidarity economy organizations, she is also a managing partner of an SME for tax and accounting advice, cooperation, logistics and development and creation of business projects.

Patrícia Monteiro, graduated in Sociology from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, is part of the CNIS Technical Department since 2015. Throughout her professional career, she has developed functions as a consultant, trainer and external (certified) auditor of management systems, with over 10 years of experience in the social and solidarity sector organizations (integrating, among others, projects developed by the Conferência Episcopal Portuguesa, Portuguese Caritas, CNIS and Catholic University).

She was a Social Responsibility Certification Technician at SGS ICS and also responsible for content management (namely the elaboration of the Thematic Notebook “Roadmap for social responsibility towards sustainability”), organization and management of events in the Communication & Image Department of the SGS Portugal Group.

Research Fellow /// University of Aveiro

Rúben Duarte has a degree in New Communication Technologies (2014), and a Master in Communication and Multimedia (2016), both from the University of Aveiro. In his Master's dissertation, he developed a dashboard model for presenting information to citizens, applied to the context of Águeda, where he is from. He is currently integrated in the TheoFrameAccountability Project, at ISCA-UA, responsible for the development and management of the technological platform.
